About Kyushu University Institute for Advanced Study Activity Fund

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support and cooperation with the education and research activities of the Institute for Advanced Study.

Since its establishment in 2009, the Kyushu University Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) has been committed to educating students and conducting research activities with the goal of fostering young researchers who will make great strides in the world and returning the results of their research to society at large.

And then, since FY2022, we have inherited the legacy of the Inamori Frontier Research Center (closed on March 31, 2022) and are rebuilding the center as a "knowledge platform" to attract and train outstanding young researchers and to interact with top-level researchers in the university to pioneer new academic fields.

As a university-wide initiative, the Institute for Advanced Study will take the lead in implementing the Inamori Frontier Program (international recruitment and hiring of outstanding young researchers) and the International Research Leadership Training Program (support for acquiring research leadership skills), but we will also develop other unique and advanced educational and research activities.

Specifically, we support the development of the ability to carry out research on one's own initiative and the formation of human networks through strong stimulation from top researchers and interaction among students in different fields of study by utilizing our environment of exchange and fusion of researchers that transcends the boundaries of departments and research fields.

In cooperation with Data-Driven Innovation Initiative, we will also provide an environment for the use of AI and quantum computing, acquire and foster outstanding young researchers, and develop human resources to promote DX through data-driven education, research, and medical care by the university's top-level researchers.

We will continue to engage in high-level education and research activities to nurture human resources who will contribute to society and play an active role internationally in various fields of natural and social sciences.

How to donate

Procedure via Web

Donations can be made online using a credit card. This is a less burdensome method of donation compared to donation by application form. Donations can be made in any amount. We would appreciate your cooperation to the extent that you agree.

After confirming payment (credit card payment), we will send you a donation receipt.

Procedure with the donation application form

Please fill out the donation application form (downloadable in Excel or PDF format) and mail it to us. We also accept by fax or e-mail. Donations can be made in any amount. We would appreciate your cooperation to the extent that you agree.

We will send you a donation receipt after confirming your payment.
