Takumi TSUTAYA
Associate Professor (Inamori Frontier Program)
Specialized Fields
Biological Anthropology, Primatology, Ancient Biomolecular Analysis
My research aims to shed light on the “lived experiences” — how humans and other related animals were born, lived, and died, and how these life histories have influenced human evolution. By applying comprehensive protein analysis (proteomics) to field samples in archaeology, paleontology, and ecology, I seek to address key research questions in each fi eld and to pioneer anew interdisciplinary area, "Evolutionary and Ecological Proteomics" (EcoEvoProteomics).

Message

Anthropology is inherently interdisciplinary, bridging the sciences and humanities. I hope to  engage in collaborative research and academic exchange with various colleagues from diverse fields. Through my research outcomes, I also aspire to contribute to building a better academic environment from a long-term perspective.
