メッセージ
この社会とどう向き合うべきかと、日々自問せざるをえないほど、激動・激変の時代に私たちは生きています。１９世紀はこうであったかと錯覚を覚える事柄が起こると同時に、２２世紀を見据えた議論も始まっています。過去、現在、未来を行き来しながら世を照らす研究者を輩出し、世界厚生の向上に向けて九州大学に期待されることは多いと思います。この度思いがけず、特別主幹教授を拝命したことは僥倖の極みです。私の限られた知見と経験が少しでも若い方々のお役に立てればと願っています。
